Women-owned micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are a significant proportion of the nation's business landscape. However, these entrepreneurs face a significant financing gap. IFC is helping DAVR Bank to address this issue by expanding its MSMEs lending. Specifically, the IFC will provide a facility to support local currency financing of MSMEs. Also, the proceeds of the facility will be used to enhance the economic inclusion of female entrepreneurs.

The Women Entrepreneurs Financing Initiative is a World Bank Trust Fund that supports PFIs in developing and promoting women-focused products and services.
